I'm reading Parsons' Man and Boy for the fifth time, now.
That somehow got to be one of my fav books.
The thing about me is I obsess over these things. Once a book manage to get hold of my attention and emotions, that's it. I'll immediately develop an infatuation with it..
Same problem with Arthur Golden's Memoirs of A Geisha. And Arundhati Roy's The God Of Small Things .
And with movies like Nuovo Cinema Paradiso(Thanks to my Imran for it) or Moulin Rouge or Girl Interrupted.
Now I'm back to Parsons.

If you get there before I do,
Don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through,
I don't know how long I'll be..
But I'm not gonna let you down,
darling wait and see.
And between now and then,
till I see you again, -
I'll be loving you.
Love, Me. -Colin Ray
This song reminds me of Nash and Audrey...the kind of song that'll make you sigh and dreamy-eyed even after listening to it say... 12 times...it's on repeat on my playlist, by the way.

Zein had his 21st birthday celebration yesterday night.
I wasn't dressed for it..I don't even feel like going. I didn't even have a present wrapped in those slick, slivery paper with those matching ribbons on th...oh wait, I didn't even have a present to start with...sigh.
But it was a nice, simple affair anyway. Tonnes of food, and the extra syrup Feizha and me had to buy on the way. It was more like a guys night out...all of them just waiting for the soccer to start..
I'm now busy with transcripts translations for the China Film Festival, and boy, does my malay sucks. I would like to say my deepest thanks to those who had helped me in one way or another, namely Fad- thanks for tolerating my endless phonecalls asking whats-bla blaa-in-malay, and also Imran who had painstakingly sit with me on many occasions trying to figure things out.
Things are pretty mundane nowadays. I think all I need is a little bit of adventure, a slice of the unexpected..something that'll pop my eyes(mascara-ed, by the way) open in excitement. I'm so bored I can even sit at my work desk staring at my mobile phone, trying to find a way to freak myself out...
On leave tom..hooo- ray...hoo-ray...
